Both Trees are in the Middle

“And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭‬‬

Amazingly God planted both trees in the middle of the garden. Jesus is the Tree of Life, yet God planted the Other Tree, the tree that exits you out from the Garden of Life, right next to the Tree of life. And as with chess, he who controls the centre, controls the game.

God so highly prizes giving us real free will, that He plants both trees in the middle of the garden (I sometimes wish he had hid that nasty Other tree far away behind thorns). We have no excuse, we are given equal opportunity to choose Him or choose the Other. He planted them in the centre, because the centre is the easiest place to find, the King is at hand, He is not very far from us – nor is Satan.

This day choose Life! Choose Christ, He is not hard to find, He has been there all this time, waiting for you to accept Him, in the midst of your garden, the garden of your life.
